Greetings Centinela Families! 

Welcome to Centinela Tk-8 School!  We are looking forward to a productive and exciting school year!  

 

Important General Information: 

Breakfast is served in cafeteria from 7:30AM - 8:00AM
There will be 2 entry/exits for student drop-off and pick-up
7:45-8:00 AM - (TK-3) Marlborough Ave - Middle (Main gate)
7:45-8:00 AM - (4-8) Marlborough Ave - Near Hyde Park (cafeteria)

First Bell Rings  - (8:00AM) 
Please have your child line-up at their classroom number on the playground.
Your teachers will be sending out a welcome email to their families next week with their room numbers.

Tardy Bell Rings - (8:05AM) 
Dismissal - MWThF (TK-3) - 2:05PM 
                                (4-8)  - 2:25 PM

                 Tuesday   (TK-3)- 1:05PM

All Centinela students should be in School Uniform daily: 
(TK-5) Navy or White shirts/Navy pants,skirt
(6-8) Burgundy Shirts/Navy pants
MASKS are required to be worn throughout the school day except while outdoors.
All students will have a recess and lunch break
Teachers will provide school supply and materials list
ASES After-school Program available 2:00-6:00 PM

Monday, August 22nd - First Day of School!

Monday, September 5th: Labor Day Holiday (NO SCHOOL)

Tuesday, September 13th: Grades UTK-3 - Back To School Night (5:00-6:00 PM)

Wednesday, September 14th: Grade 4-8 - Back To School Night (5:00-6:00 PM)

Enrollment for 2022-2023 

Anyone who will have school age children in the Fall or know anyone with children eligible for school, please encourage them to enroll at Centinela! We are currently enrolling new scholars in all grades for 2022-2023 

Scholars currently enrolled, who will be returning for the 2022-2023 school year and are residing in Inglewood do not need to re-enroll (please ensure your contact information is updated if your address, phone numbers, or email contact have changed). 
If you have moved outside of the boundaries of IUSD but would like to continue enrollment at Centinela, please contact the office or IUSD’s Student Support Services Department for instructions on how to obtain an Inter-District Permit. 
Families with a child who will turn five before September 1, 2022 are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten. 
 Families with a child who is four-years and is turning five between September 2, 2022-February 2, 2023, regardless of ability and development level are eligible to enroll in Universal Transitional Kindergarten.

Independent Study

All re-enrolling Independent Study students must re-enroll at their home school and must   complete an Outreach Independent Study Referral Form.
